Regular attendance is mandatory for all undergraduate students at B. J. Medical College, in accordance with the NMC’s CBME Guidelines 2023.
To be eligible to appear in any university examination, a student must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance in theory classes and a minimum of 80% attendance in practical and clinical training for each subject.
Students who fail to meet these thresholds will not be permitted to appear in the supplementary examination following the annual examination. Such students will be required to attend classes with the junior batch in the next academic year to compensate for the deficit, and will be eligible to sit for the examination only in the following academic year.
Attendance in electives is also governed by the same minimum threshold of 75%, and submission of the logbook maintained during the elective period is compulsory for eligibility to appear in the final MBBS examination or NExT, as per the applicable guideline.
