The Clinical Research Programme (CRP) is a distinctive, student-led initiative unique to B. J. Medical College, Ahmedabad. The programme engages undergraduate students in the complete lifecycle of an original clinical study — from conception to presentation.

Each study is conducted by a team of five undergraduate students under the mentorship of two faculty members. Students take ownership of every stage of the research process: selection of participants, identification of study topics, design and conduct of the study, and final presentation of findings. Faculty mentors guide the process without directing it, ensuring the experience remains genuinely student-driven.

The CRP has been registered and trademarked, reflecting the college’s commitment to protecting and institutionalising this innovation. The programme received national recognition when it was awarded the Innovative Programme in Medical Education at the GRIP Summit 2024.
