The B. J. Medical College Library, established in 1946, is the largest biomedical literature resource in Gujarat. The centrally air-conditioned library is housed in the college building with a seating capacity of 300 persons. It holds a rich collection of books and bound journal volumes, It also has more than 3000 dissertations, and an annual subscription to 236 current journals.

The library caters to the information needs of over 2,400 medical students, faculty, and research workers. In 1992, it was identified as a Resource Centre for the Western Region by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. It was subsequently selected under the national project ‘Linking of Medical College Libraries with National Medical Library’ in 2001.

E-Library (Computer Library)

The E-Library is equipped with 50 computers with broadband internet access, along with printing, scanning, CD-ROM, and DVD facilities.
