B. J. Medical College

1st MBBS

The First MBBS programme covers Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry, and begins with a two-week (80-hour) Foundation Course that orients students to medical education and professional practice. The first six months form the First Semester, during which students complete internal examinations in January–February 2026 and observe the Diwali vacation. The First MBBS University Examination is tentatively scheduled for August 2026.

2nd MBBS

The Second MBBS is spread across three semesters and covers Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology and Forensic Medicine, building the diagnostic and pharmacological foundation that students carry into their clinical years.

Final MBBS:

The Final MBBS is delivered over two semesters and covers Medicine and its allied branches, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Paediatrics. The Second Semester spans the next six months and includes internal assessments, preliminary examinations and the Summer Vacation.

The Third MBBS, also structured as two semesters, comprises Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology (E.N.T.) and Community Medicine, rounding off the clinical curriculum.

In total, the MBBS programme runs for four and a half years of academic study, followed by twelve months of compulsory Rotatory Internship, ensuring that every graduate of B. J. Medical College completes a full year of supervised clinical practice before independent service.
