3.Head of Department’s Message:

B.J. Medical College, Ahmedabad is a landmark institution in India for higher medical education and research.

Department of Biochemistry of this college, since its establishment, has contributed to the teaching of numerous generations of undergraduate students in the field of Medicine. In recent years, since 2010 we have started MD Biochemistry course under guidance of Professor and Associate Professor.

As Head my goal is to direct the Department along with an innovative scientific roadmap to contribute to integrated vision of Medicine. The Department is well prepared for the challenges. In recent years we have achieved NABL Accreditation in Clinical Biochemistry laboratory which renders laboratory services to vast number of patients every day.

The Department has excellent teaching staffs committed to teaching and preparing students for lifetime learning and scholarship. MD Biochemistry students of this department are posted in the affiliated prestigious Gujarat Cancer Research Institute for six month to learn innovative techniques in molecular biology and get exposure to various higher end medical laboratory equipment.

Please feel free to pursue our website to learn about our education and CME programs. There are lots of great things going in this B.J. Medical College and many more in future!

Best whishes
